Frequently Asked Questions

Do you Except Walk-ins?

You are always welcome to walk in or make an appointment. We are a busy barbershop, and walk in appointments are upon availability. We manage our wait time to the best of our abilities. Get in where you fit in.

are you cash only?

Cash is king. Cards are great too.

do you use the straight razor?

All of our haircuts are finished with a straight razor neck shave if you so choose. Many of our barbers offer a variety of services including straight razor shaves and razor skin fades.

do you cut kids hair

Yes! Children are always welcome in our shop and we do what we can to make the haircut a fun and comfortable experience for them. We ask that they are able to sit well for their haircut, as it is difficult to do a great haircut on a moving target. Due to the nature of our barbershop, the music played, language spoken, and the content on our walls is mostly geared towards adults. Please keep in mind that while we try to accommodate kids as much as we can while they are in the shop, it is up to the parents’ discretion whether Uptown is an appropriate barbershop for their kids.

what is your Cancelation Policy?

We understand life happens, things change, and sometimes you can’t make it to your appointment. If you’re not able to make it, we ask that you give us a call no later then an hour before your scheduled appointment. No call no shows require you to pay for your missed appointment before booking another service. Not showing up to an scheduled appointment prevents other clients from scheduling for that time, and it takes money out of your barbers pocket. Please be considerate of this as all barbers are self employeed and not paid hourly.

Why do I need to have a card payment on file?

Do to the high demand of clients not showing up to their appointment, we have since required a form of payment on file. You have the option to “Book Without Paying,” at the end of scheduling your appointment. If Squire does not allow you this option, you may have been a preivious “no-show” and are required to pay before booking. Booking an appointment with a barber means you are reserving their sevice time and should be paid for their time accordingly.
